Project Overview

At The Struggle for Community Support Alliance (SCSA) / Pambana Saidia Jamii, we understand that health awareness is key to building strong, healthy, and informed communities. Our programs focus on equipping individuals and families with the knowledge and tools they need to make informed decisions about their health, prevent disease, and promote overall well-being.

Program Activities

SCSA conducts community campaigns and sensitization meetings to raise awareness on family planning and HIV/AIDS prevention. Key activities include:

  • HIV/AIDS Awareness Campaigns
Educating community members about HIV transmission, prevention methods, and the importance of early testing.

  • Promotion of Safe Practices
Encouraging the proper use of condoms and other protective measures to reduce the spread of HIV/AIDS.

  • Access to Testing & Counseling
Facilitating voluntary counseling and testing services, helping individuals know their HIV status and take timely action.

  • Promotion of Antiretroviral Therapy (ARVs)
Highlighting the importance of ARVs for HIV-positive individuals in maintaining health, reducing viral load, and preventing transmission.

  • Family Planning Education
Providing guidance on contraceptive options, reproductive health, and responsible family planning to improve maternal and child health.

Objectives

  1. Increase community knowledge on HIV/AIDS transmission, prevention, and treatment.

  2. Promote responsible family planning and reproductive health practices.

  3. Encourage regular HIV testing and early initiation of ARVs for those who test positive.

  4. Reduce stigma and discrimination associated with HIV/AIDS in the community.

Impact & Benefits

  • Improved awareness and adoption of safe sexual and reproductive health practices.

  • Increased uptake of HIV testing and treatment services.

  • Reduced risk of HIV transmission within families and communities.

  • Empowered communities making informed decisions about health and family planning.

Vision for Community Health

SCSA envisions healthy, informed communities where individuals and families have access to life-saving information, adopt safe practices, and live free from the threat of preventable diseases.
